We have received an actual production copy from the factory, and we're excited to share pictures of it with you! It looks fantastic, and we will have it this weekend at the Granite Curling Club of Seattle for their Rainbowspiel this weekend. But first, pictures!
Here's some shots of everything in the box:
We have approved all the components, and now assembly will complete and the games will be on their way to us soon! We'll update with more info when we have dates from the factory for boat time.
RainbowSpiel
This weekend I will be in Seattle for the RainbowSpiel - a charity curling event raising money for the National Transgender Law Center and Trans Lifeline. Plus, I get to curl for a weekend with friends from the other coast, so it's a win all around :)
As part of the event, for each pre-order of the game we receive from now until Sunday when it ends, we'll be donating $10 to the charity pool. That includes people who aren't attending, so if you've got a friend who was on the fence about the campaign and wants to support a good cause, let them know!
Our team name is Prismatic Sweep, and all the games from the event will be broadcast on the Seattle Curling Club YouTube Channel. Our first game will be at 1PM Pacific on Friday, on Sheet 2.
Good curling all!
Production / BackerKit Surveys / Last Call for Jersyes

Hi friends! Production is underway, and we hope to have more info for you soon on delivery date - we'll share it when we have it!
For those of you who stopped by at PAX East, it was great to see you, and it was a lot of fun to tabletop-curl with many new and old friends. We had a blast, and a ton of people were interested after watching it at the Olympics.
We're down to just a handful of folks who haven't filled out shipping surveys yet on BackerKit. I just sent out a direct email to everyone in that camp. Please fill it out soon! We want to get your game to you in a timely fashion :)
Finally - we'll be removing jerseys from the pre-order + add-on store next week. If you were considering adding one, this is your last chance! We have to lock in the order soon with our printing partner. A reminder that they are US only, and that they will ship separately from the game. I'll be mailing them directly from our office.
Good curling and happy Spring, all!
Pledge Manager, Jerseys, and Production!

Good Curling, everyone! I've been enjoying some fun Mixed Doubles action at the Olympics so far, and hope you all enjoy our sport's biggest showcase over the next couple weeks.
3D Render of the finished box!
We've finalized all the files with the factory for print production, and so we're ready to enter the Pledge Manager phase. I know a lot of folks who backed this campaign are new to Kickstarter and crowdfunding, so I'm going to explain the process for everyone. Feel free to skip over the next bit if you're experienced.
We use a website called BackerKit to collect your addresses via a "Survey" for shipping, calculate and charge correct shipping, sales tax/VAT costs based on your location, and allow you to manage add-ons, purchase extra items if you want, and generally make our lives easier when we need to ship out hundreds of games in the Spring. You will be receiving an email from BackerKit with a link early next week (a handful of people may see this email sooner, as we test out the survey).
If you don't have your survey by Tuesday, or if you have any questions or issues with the process, feel free to shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll help you out.
There are two items on the BackerKit page that weren't available during the campaign. Chess Joker, and Mystic Curling Club Jerseys! Chess Joker is another game we're printing concurrently - for folks who want both, it's cheaper to ship them together so we're taking add-on orders. You can learn more about it here - it's Chess but with lots of wild extra cards that allow for interesting tactics. The jerseys are the fancy hockey-style jerseys our demo team wore at PAX Unplugged, and that I've been wearing on the curling ice for the last few months!
Me, with my friend Marcus at PAX Unplugged, with some bubble tea!
The jerseys are $125, available in sizes from S up through 4XL. There's a sizing guide on the website. In general, picking a size equal to your t-shirt size will be a casual loose fit, one size down will be a more tight fit. I've been very happy with the quality of mine, it's been great to wear on the ice!
Production
With all the files submitted, the next step is waiting for the factories to complete printing all the components, making the dice, and packaging it all up. That process will be happening over the next couple months, and I'll keep you all posted once I have a firm schedule.
Final Rulebook
An important part of any game is the rulebook - we spent a lot of time on getting this one right. We want it to be easy to learn and not too overwhelming! You can download the PDF below
We've proofread this, of course - but if you happen to find an error or if something just seems confusing to you - feel free to email us at [email protected] with feedback. Files have been submitted, but we still have a bit of time to make small edits.
Thanks everyone for backing the game and helping make it possible! We're excited to share the fun of Curling with many new people all over the world :)
PAX Report: Board Testing, Jerseys, Campaign Wrapping Up!

Good curling, everyone!
Last weekend we had a great time at PAX Unplugged showing off Mystic Curling Club, alongside Chess Joker, Innovation, Good Puppers Too, and selling lots of shiny pins. The good news is, everyone had a great time with the game!
A particularly full house of stones!
One of our most important goals at PAX was testing. Since Gen Con, we'd made a number of small game updates to how scoring and spells work in order to streamline learning and fun. We ran around 200 demos of the game over the span of the convention, and it went very well. Explanations were quicker and easier, people understood better how and when they could use their Witch and Familiars to affect things, and most importantly: scoring was easy! We have a couple tweaks to make to individual spells to make them more fun / balanced, but overall we are super confident that the game is complete and ready.
The other part of testing was the boards. Previous convention demos were on temporary boards from our friends at Print and Play, and while they performed admirably, we wanted to see how the game would function (and hold up) with real production boards from our factory. Again, good news! The boards passed the test of hundreds of people interacting with them with flying colors. Dice still slide nicely, no noticeable blemishes, and most importantly, only three people the entire weekend were transformed into frogs by reading the runes on the board incorrectly. That's an extremely low rate!
Jerseys
Also, if you visited, you noticed our team was wearing cool custom jerseys all weekend long:
Chris and fellow curler and friend Marcus
Rob and J dazzling the hotel lobby
The jerseys were a smash hit at the show, both with our team, and with everyone who came to visit our booth. A lot of people asked if we'd be selling jerseys - and the answer is now...probably yes! This won't happen during the Kickstarter, but we're likely to have them available during the pledge manager, we just need to sort out a few questions with our printing partner. Our cost estimate right now is $125 - they're real embroidered hockey-style jerseys.
End of Campaign
Our campaign wraps up Tuesday. We've had a nice chill campaign and we hope to see a few more backers sneak in on the last days. After the campaign, we'll be moving very quickly to production. With all the testing going so well at PAX, we're just about ready to go! We just have to wrap up the rulebook, some graphic design on the scoreboard reference mat, and the game box back (bar codes, etc).
Hope you all have a great Sunday and start of December!
